Message from the Rabbi | |
Dear Friend, We invite you to join us for a spectacular "Superhero Purim" a Superhero themed Purim. A Holiday dinner and celebration open to the entire community.
Reservation are required and can be made at ValleyChabad.org/Purim
Superhero
Purim includes separate adult and child programs that will feature a Buffet dinner, music and entertainment, a masquerade and art for the kids, many great surprises and a fun time for all.
Purim is a holiday that commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian Empire from destruction in the wake of a plot by Haman. The superhero-themed party will offer a unique way for our community to unite and celebrate the Purim
Holiday together.
So, what will you dress up as?
Kindly make your reservations prior online and consider being a holiday sponsor. We rely on the kindness and generosity of our community to make these events possible. Sincerely, Rabbi Dov Drizin

Megillah Readings | |
To relive the miraculous events of Purim, listen to the reading of the megillah (the Scroll of Esther) twice: once on Purim eve, Wednesday night, March 23, and again on Purim day, March 24. Missed hearing the Megilah on Purim? Valley Chabad reads the Megilah at assisted living centers around town all day on Purim. Join us to spread the joy and catch the Megilah

Give to the needy | |
Concern for the needy is a year-round responsibility; but on Purim it is a special mitzvah to remember the poor.
Give charity to at least two (but preferably more) needy individuals on Purim day, March 24.
If you are not able to find a poor person, we are able to facilitate this great mitzvah for you. Click donate below to send a donation to our center (note that it's for this cause), and we will distribute it people in need.

Send Food Portions to Friends
On Purim we emphasize the importance of Jewish unity and friendship by sending gifts of food to friends.
On Purim day, March 24, send a gift of at least two kinds of ready-to-eat foods (e.g., pastry, fruit, beverage) to at least one friend. Men should send to men, and women to women. It is preferable that the gifts be delivered via a third party. Children, in addition to sending their own gifts of food to their friends, make enthusiastic messengers.
