Linking Hearts - Better Together

  • For over 10 years Valley Chabad Teen Leadership Initiative  has been connecting middle school teens with seniors at our monthly Linking Hearts sessions.

In today's new world, we are excited to announce a new and creative way to connect our teens with local seniors.

    Here is how it works:

    1. Your middle school teen will be paired with a senior at the Jewish Home Assisted Living.

    2. Each month (for the next 4 months: February, March, April & May) your teen will get a box of project supplies delivered to your home.

    3. At the designated time, your teen will join a 45 minute Zoom session with Rabbi Yosef and the other teens for a discussion on the value and importance of this mitzvah as well as a demonstration on how to make that month's gift for the residents.

    4. Your teen will also record a short video of themselves around the house. They will upload the video to the Better Together video box provided to you. That will be delivered to the resident for them to watch.

    5. We will pick up the box and deliver it to the senior.

    6. Fill out this short form below to enroll your teen. There is no cost for this program.

Every teen who completes all 4 of these sessions properly will receive a $40 Amazon Gift Card!

This project is made possible in part due to a generous partnership of the Legacy Heritage Foundation.
